Community mental health
|
Mental health problems can happen to any of us at periods
in our lives. Some people have a temporary problem associated with
a personal crisis such as unemployment, bereavement or divorce.
Other people experience the long term effects of a mental
illness.
Whatever the cause of the problem Kent Mental health Services
aim to provide the help and services people require to ensure their
lives remain as normal as possible.
We have community based mental health teams which serve local
communities across Kent. The team members are able to discuss
people's needs and the services available. We work closely with
other agencies such as district health authorities and voluntary
organisations so that we can best meet individual needs.
