There are currently 3 ways to access the Telecare
service:
1. Whole System Demonstrator
Telecare is available to eligible participants in the
governments
Whole System Demonstrator Evaluation programme; a research
project designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of Advanced
Assistive Technologies in health and social care. Find out more
about the opportunity to participate in the
Whole System Demonstrator programme.
Service charge: Whole System Demonstrator is a
research project funded by the Department of Health and therefore
eligible participants will receive Telecare free of charge
throughout the duration of the programme.
2. Direct Payments
You may be able to access Telecare through
Direct Payments, providing you meet the eligibility criteria to
receive services from Kent Adult Social Services.
Service charge: At the moment there is no
charge for Telecare. This may change in the future.
3. Privately
If you are not eligible to receive Telecare as part of a social
care package, either because you do not meet the Fair Access to
Care Services Criteria or because you earn above the annual income
threshold, the service can be purchased privately, from a wide
range of
Private Providers. If you would like advice about how to do
this please contact Kent Adult Social Services (tel number
here)
Service charge: The cost and service will vary
across Providers. |
