Some forms of counselling can now be accessed through many GP
surgeries, there would be no charge for counselling via your GP. If
you do not have a GP you can
find a GP via the NHS website.
Your Employer
If you are working it may be worth speaking to your employer as
some employers offer staff a counselling service as part of a
benefits package.
Local Directory
You local telephone directory will have contact details for
counsellors, examples of these directories are

British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy
(BACP)
The BACP is a good organisation for anyone to contact if they
are looking for a counsellor. They produce a "Counselling and
Psychotherapy Resource Directory" which can be found in most
libraries. You can also
search for a therapist in your area via their
website.
