What is the Occupational Therapy Service?
|
The OT Service is a unit within Social Services which
serves to assess the needs of people with a physical disability for
special equipment and/or adaptations to their home. The aim of this
is to increase their control over the practical aspects of their
everyday life. Occupational therapists and rehabilitation
co-ordinators from the service work with disabled people within
their own homes to look at providing equipment and adaptations
which can help to increase this
control. |
