In July, the Department for Work and Pensions (this link
will open in a new window) launched a consultation, "No one written
off: reforming welfare to reward responsibility", to ask people for
their views on the future reform of the benefits system.
The consultation closed on the 22 October 2008. You can view the
consultation results
here.
For more information about the consultation please visit the
Department for Work and Pensions website (this
page will open in a new window).
Kent County Council is encouraging as many people as possible to
tell the DWP about their experiences, views and aspirations. This
is a good opportunity to tell the government what you think on a
major reform area.
Kent County Council have been organising events for those who
use our services, for providers, and for our partners to help us
compile our response.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the consultation event
we held in February about the Department of Work and Pensions'
proposals on improving specialist disability employment services.
We are still awaiting the final report on the outcome from the
Department of Work and Pensions. We will be ensuring this is shared
with all those that participated when it is published, as well as
putting a link on our website. |
