When a person is assessed as needing support from social
services they can have a Direct Payment. Direct Payments are cash
payments made to individuals so that they can buy their own service
or support. The Kent Card is one of the banking options that can be
used to receive a Direct Payment.

freedom, flexibility, choice and control over your life. You
will make the decisions about the services and support you
receive.

The Kent Card

The Kent Card is one of the banking options that can be used for
receiving a Direct Payment.
You can complete a Kent Card application form with your Care
Manager and an account will be set up for you to receive your
Direct Payment. The card is a Visa card that will be loaded with an
agreed amount for you to spend on services/support.
The Kent Care makes direct payments easier to manage, as you do
not have to difficult financial records.
