Canterbury District Learning Disabilities Consultation

Kent County Council is modernising its Learning Disability Day Services throughout Kent to provide more individualised person-centred services.

The formal consultation process for the Canterbury district commenced on Monday 25 September 2007 and ended on the 30 November 2007.

During this time we consulted with all the people who have an interest in developing these services, and use the Canterbury and Swalecliffe Day Centres.

This will included students and services users, parents and carers of students and service users, future users, staff, existing providers, local and county councillors and the general public.

Now the formal consultation period is over we will collate all the answers and from these develop a formal plan which we will publish. This will tell everybody what had been said, how the plan has been developed and how we will put the plan into action.

You can also view the consultation document giving the background to why this consultation took place.
