Child protection

The Board's procedures for responding to children in need of protection from abuse or neglect are followed by social services, police, health, probation and education services in the Kent County Council and Medway Council areas. These policies and procedures have been developed in accordance with the principles contained in the Children Act 1989 and government guidance. The link opens in a new window.
