Who can adopt with Kent?

Adoption law requires applicants to be over 21 years old (unless you are a birth parent in a non-agency adoption). Kent does not have an upper age limit, although babies under 12 months old are more likely to be placed with applicants under 40 years of age. We normally expect that applicants will not have had any major life changes in the preceding two years and will have ceased any fertility treatment.
