Youth justice plan
|
Each year Kent YOS produces a Youth Justice Plan. The plan
outlines how the statutory youth offending partnership agencies
(Social Services, Health, Education, Police and Probation) will
work together towards fulfillment of the principal aim of the Youth
Justice System which is the prevention of offending by children and
young people.
Other key aims of the plan are to:
- Understand why young people in the county are offending, and
ensure that services are in place to address those reasons
- Ensure that young people are confronted with the consequences
of their offending behaviour
- Acknowledge and where possible meet the needs of the victims of
youth crime, while enabling young people to make amends for their
offending.
