Why elephants?
|
I saw a programme on BBC about migrating elephants in
Africa and basically this programme portrayed elephants as having
emotions, being caring and family orientated. They travelled in a
group, and as they moved through the bush, they came across the
bones of dead elephants. The adult elephants circled this
graveyard, picked the bones up, made noises and stood there for
about a day. It looked as though they were mourning. The group then
moved on, It was apparent that not only did they look after their
own family group, but also that they showed care and respect for
the rest of the elephant population within the area in which the
lived and travelled.
