Carers news archive: Adult carers stakeholder event

The event will be held in the morning of the 8th July 2008 at The Ramada Hotel & Resort, Hollingbourne (this link will open in a new window). The event is open to adult carers and carer support organisations.

The first part of the morning will provide carers and carers support organisations with the opportunity to meet with Oliver Mills, Managing Director and Steve Leidecker, Director of Operations, Kent Adult Social Services. Oliver and Steve are keen to establish a Carers Advisory Group. This group will represent the voice of carers and maintain awareness of carer's needs. It will help identify priorities and inform commissioning of services. The group will also input into strategy and policy development. We hope to use this session to report back on the work of the working party and seeks views from wider stakeholders.

Coffee will be served from 9.45am the meeting will formally start at 10.15am. We will finish at 1pm with a buffet lunch.
