Domiciliary care

Kent Social Services is keen to help people stay in their own homes and remain as active and independent as possible.

If you need advice about Domiciliary Care and you are currently known to social services you will need to contact your local care management team, based at our local offices. If you are not yet known to social services you will need to make a new referral through our County Duty Service.

Kent County Council Social Services Directorate make a charge for most of the services they provide. Social Services need contributions from service users towards the cost of services, so that we can continue to help as many people as possible with the money that is available to us. To download the brochure follow the link below. This link will open in a new window.

You can also view an Approved Provider List of providers of domiciliary care services. These are the only eligible providers to tender for a contract with KCC for domiciliary care services.

Domiciliary Care Charging Consultation

Last year we asked our service users to complete our Domiciliary Care Charging Consultation. Find out more about the results of the consultation by visiting Domiciliary Care Charging Consultation 2007. Please note that the consultation period ended on the 31 July 2007.
