Direct Payments are the cash alternative to having services or support provided for you following a community care assessment by Social Services.

EDF Energy Networks
EDF Energy Networks look after the electricity network in London, the South East and East of England and are responsible for all the overhead lines, underground cables and substations. So, if you have a power cut, they're the people to contact to get the power back on. They know how difficult it is for anybody during a power cut, but recognise how especially worrying it must be if you are reliant on electricity for medical equipment, or have other special needs. Therefore they operate a Priority Services Register for those who are particularly vulnerable. If you think you need to be on the register please fill in the form on the EDF Energy website.

NHS Heatwave Plan

Self-assessment gives people the choice to assess their own care needs or carry out an assessment on behalf of someone else online. This service is aimed at adults who are finding looking after themselves increasingly difficult.

Training 4 Care
Training 4 Care has been appointed by Kent County Council to deliver subsidised short care training courses to Care employers and employees across Kent. Training 4 Care can be contacted through Training 4 Business at South Kent College.
