There are 5 ways you can search for care services in Kent,
which are listed below along with step by step instructions of how
to use the search facilities.
To search for all the care services in one area of
Kent:
1. Link to the map on the right. Using the mouse,
click on the part of the map where you want to
find a service. Clicking on an area will produce a list of all
social care services in that area.
2. Another way of doing this is to click on the
district on the list below the
map.
3. A list of all social care services in the selected
area/district will appear in alphabetical order. The listing under
Type describes the type of social care provided,
for example, 'Care Home' or 'Advice'.
4. To look at details of a service listed,
click on the service name written in
blue. Further information about the service you
have selected will appear.
To search for a specific care service by
name:
1. Type the name of the care service you wish
to search for in the quick search name box and
select Go.
2. The care services that have the name you searched for will
appear. There may be more than one, so be sure to check all of
them.
3. To look at details of a service listed,
click on the service name written in
blue. Further information about the service you
have selected will appear.
Please note: this search facility does not
recognise wrongly spelt names.
To search for all care services in your
postcode:
1. Type the postcode you wish to search for in
the quick search postcode box and select
Go.
2. A list of all social care services in the selected postcode
will appear in alphabetical order, for a ten mile radius. The
listing under Type describes the type of social
care provided, for example, 'Care Home' or 'Advice'.
3. The listing under 'Distance (miles)' indicates the distance
of the service from the postcode entered.
4. To look at details of a service listed,
click on the service name written in
blue. Further information about the service you
have selected will appear.
To search for a specific type of care
service:
1. In the advanced search box,
click on the downward arrow on
the right hand side of the box, and a drop down box will appear.
Click on the care service Type
that you require.
2. Do the same in the second search box and
click on the client Group that
you require services for.
3. Selecting a district from the third search
box will narrow your selection.
4. Click on Search.
5. A list of all social care services in the selected care
service type and client group will appear in alphabetical order.
The listing under Type describes the type of
social care provided, for example, 'Care Home' or 'Advice'.
6. To look at details of a service listed,
click on the service name written in blue. Further
information about the service you have selected will appear.
To search for care homes with current bed
vacancies:
1. In the advanced search box,
click on the downward arrow on
the right hand side of the box, and a drop down box will appear.
Click on care home or
care home with nursing.
2. Do the same in the second search box and
click on the client Group that
you require services for.
3. You can narrow your search by clicking on a
district from the third search.
4. Using the mouse, click in the box next to
Bed Vacancies so that a tick appears in the
box.
5. Select Search.
6. A list of all care homes with a vacancy for the client group
and district you have chosen, will appear in alphabetical
order.
7. To look at details of a care home listed,
click on the name written in blue. Further
information about the care home you have selected will
appear. |
