If you have not used BillPay before, follow the
instructions on this page on how to register and make
payments.

Getting Started
You will need:
- A valid DEBIT card.
BillPay does NOT accept credit cards.
- Your Client Reference Number.
(Find this on your KentCare Account bill).
To access the BillPay website to register, follow the Girobank
BillPay link via the logo on this page. A new browser window will
open.
How to register
The first time you use BillPay you will be asked to register.
This is standard security procedure for a website which accepts
regular payments.
Step One
- Select the "Register" button on the BillPay website homepage.
This will take you to a page displaying Girobank's terms and
conditions.
Step Two
- If you accept the terms and conditions select the "Accept terms
and conditions" button.
Step Three
- You will then be taken to a page where you are asked to enter
your name and address details. You must enter your full name,
telephone number and email address.
Step Four
- Enter your login details: your BillPay user name will be the
email address you have already entered
- You must choose your own password to be used every time you
wish to pay a bill. This password must be at least six characters
long and should not be easily recognisable.
- You must choose a security question. This will be displayed if
you forget your password or your account is temporarily locked. You
will need to answer this question correctly first time in order
access your account.
- Select the "Submit" button to register.
After you have registered to use BillPay you will need to add an
account to your personal profile. This will be the account to which
you will pay your bill. In this instance it will be the Kent County
Council Social Services account.
Once you have added an account to your profile you will not have
to keep re-entering the details every time you make payments.
Step Five
Once you have registered you must add the account you wish to
pay to your BillPay profile. You only need to do this once.
The account is:
KENT COUNTY COUNCIL SOCIAL SERVICES
- After selecting the "Submit" button when you register, you will
be taken to a new page where you must select the "Payment Profile"
button.
- Select the "Add new account" button
Step Six
- i. To choose the account you want to add
select "By company name" and select the "Search" button.
- ii. Select " Kent County Council Social
Services" and then select the "Search" button.
- iii. Select from list which bill to pay. (You
will find this on your KentCare Account bill i.e. Kent County
Council Social Services (KentCare Acct EAST KENT ) etc).
- You can download an
example
KentCare Account bill.
- iv. Enter your Customer Reference Number. This
will be your KentCare Account Client Reference Number.
You must ensure that the Client Reference Number is entered
omitting the slash (/).
For example:
185764/185764 should be entered as
185764185764
154201/852143 should be entered as
154201852143
- Select the "Add new account" button to add the account to your
profile.
Paying a Bill
- To pay a bill, select the "Pay a Bill" link visible on any page
of the BillPay website.
- The "bill to pay" box which will be visible will already have
the KentCare Account you have previously added selected
- Enter the amount, your name and your debit card details - you
will need to enter your card details every time you make a payment
as this information is not retained once the transaction is
completed.
- Select the "Continue" button to pay the bill, and follow any
further instructions.
If you are returning to the BillPay website after previously
registering, you can make payments by logging on with your user
name and password.
If you would now like to register and add an account to your
profile now, please follow the Girobank BillPay link via the logo
on this page.
A new window will be displayed taking you to the secure Girobank
BillPay website where you should select the "Register" button on
the left side of the page. You will then be able to pay your
KentCare Account bill online.

Queries
If you have any queries regarding payments you have made via
BillPay:
You can view all of the payments you have made via BillPay over
the past twelve months by selecting the "View Payment History"
button after you have logged on to the Girobank website.
Please note: This screen is a record of payment requests only
and does not confirm successful processing of payments.
