Introduction
ElderGames is an innovative European Commission funded research
project with the purpose of developing a series of information
technology based games, which can contribute to improving the
quality of life of older people.
An important aspect of the project is developing electronic
based games which will help to ensure that older people are
included and have equal access and can participate in the
information society. The project will also be testing the
preventative and therapeutic value gained through the use of the
advanced visualisation games. The intention is to enable older
people to enjoy new ways of leisure and entertainment whilst
improving their cognitive, functional and social skills.

We are looking for people aged 65 to 75 to help us test the
games during April and July this year. The testing will be held at
Age Concern Sevenoaks & District and you would need to be
available for 2 hours, once a week, for 5 weeks.
You will be asked to play the games and then answer questions
about your experiences. You do not need any technical knowledge to
play the game but all participants will need to be able to hold a
pen in their hand in order to play.
If you are interested in being part of this project and are aged
between 65 years and 75 years please contact Nick Chamberlain on
01732 454108 or Janice Grant on 01622
