Services in Tunbridge Wells
Voluntary Action West Kent - Good Neighbour project
The Good Neighbour project offer the following services for
people of the Tunbridge Wells borough:
- Befriending - visits or phone calls
- An escorted errands/appointments/service with or without
volunteer transport provided
- Support following illness or discharge from hospital - for
example, vacum cleaning or bed making
- Errands service - for example, shopping or collecting
prescriptions
- Assistance with filling in forms
- Sign-posting to other services
- Exercise classes - designed for older people who have either a
fear of falling, balance problems, history of falls or
osteoporosis. The classes start on 15 September 2008 at Tunbridge
Wells Baptist Church Hall. Two classes will run at 12:15 - 1:15pm
and at 1.45 - 2.45pm. Please ring if you wish to join the exercise
class. Cost is £2.00 per person per class.
