Multi-Agency Adult Protection Training Group

Terms of Reference

  • The role of the MA AP Training Group is to identify, develop and maintain AP training processes for both the statutory and P&V sector aiming to cover the needs of all staff within their organisation. This would include among other programmes: 'Train the Trainer' as well as the dissemination of 'Awareness' training through their own organisation.
  • This group will be involved in the feedback, evaluation and monitoring of the training programme concerned and the sharing of good practice.
  • This group will have responsibility for planning and developing future programmes in MA AP training.
  • Group members who are named representatives for their organisations will offer advice and support to trainers and others in their agency who are involved in developing AP strategies and cascading relevant information.
  • Through the AP Training Consultant the Group will send regular reports to the MA AP Committee and maintain regular contact with the AP Policy Manager to ensure consistency within the MA APC process.
