Terms of Reference

  • To provide a forum in order to identify, develop and maintain good working practices across the County regarding the protection of Vulnerable Adults.
  • To monitor adherence to the Kent and Medway Multi Agency Adult Protection Policy, Protocols and Guidance. Any amendments considered necessary will be discussed and put forward for endorsement by the Multi Agency Adult Protection Committee.
  • To be involved in the feedback, evaluation and monitoring of any issues of good and poor practice. The forum should consider the dissemination of such issues within all agencies involved in Adult Protection for training purposes. Areas and individuals will be anonymised.
  • To share information on new legislation, regulations, policies and training issues pertaining to Adult Protection.
  • To facilitate effective liaison and promote best interprofessional practice.
  • To consider inviting representatives of other agencies and services to meetings to share information relevant to the role and function of this group.
