Core Standards Review Workshop on Tuesday 15th January 2008

We are reviewing our core standards and to obtain the views of as many people as possible, we are holding a workshop with service users and carers to find out what they think, which will help us to revise the core standards that we already have.

The event is fully booked, however, you can still get involved and give us your feedback online.

Kent Show 2006

This year's Kent Show took place at the Detling Showground on 14, 15 and 16 July. The weather was kind to us again and over the course of the three days we had just under 9,700 visitors through the Adult Services marquee. Within our marquee we had displays representing, Telecare, Telehealth, Spectrum Pottery, Vocational Training Project, Community Wardens, Interegg, Independent Living and the Kent Partnership Board. We also focussed on promoting the Active Lives consultation and asked visitors to complete a survey before being entered into a prize draw.

On this page you will find several photographs that were taken during the show and it won't be long before we start planning for 2007's show.

Kent Show 2005

The 2005 Kent Show took place at the Detling Showground on 16, 17 and 18 July.

The social services marquee consisted of colleagues from Spectrum Pottery, Kent Vocational Training Project, Kent Volunteers, Kent Partnership Board, Recruitment, Telecare, the Community Wardens and the Public Involvement team. It was quite a challenge to make the social services marquee appealing to visitors, but we certainly managed to do just that!

The Kent Volunteer mascots "Vol 'N' Teer" were on hand to encourage the public to take up volunteering and received a few strange looks for their efforts. (the blue hair might have had something to do with it!) The Wardens proved a hit with their identity tagging for children and the "paint your own pottery" was popular with both children and adults!

Everyone involved in the marquee worked very hard, both before and during the Show, to make it such a success. In fact, over the course of the three days, our marquee had approximately 10,000 visitors.
