Involving users and carers in developing our services

Our Aim

To promote public involvement by encouraging service users and carers to be involved in the way we plan, provide and review our services. We want to encourage service users and carers to have more of a say in shaping and influencing the development of existing and new services.

Get Involved

We are committed to involving users and carers in all aspects of our work. You can get involved in a number of ways and at a level that suits you, such as:

  • Taking part in a focus group or discussion group
  • Being interviewed about services you have received or may receive
  • Taking part in the monitoring and evaluation of services
  • Checking information to ensure it is easily understood by members of the public
  • Becoming a member of our user and carer panel.

We will continually work to improve and develop ways in which we involve people to enable them to express their opinions.

Have your say

We are currently seeking your thoughts on two documents we are developing:

Reasons to get involved

So that you can be heard and voice your opinions regarding the way we shape current and future services provided to Kent residents.

Database of public involvement

This database aims to capture all public involvement activity that has either taken place or is planned for the future. It will also provide details of the outcome that has been achieved as a result of the involvement. As a result, we will be able to collect evidence about how service user/carer feedback has influenced, changed or improved the planning and delivery of services.
