Quality service awards

The Quality Service Awards celebrate the excellent work carried out by staff in Adult Social Care Services in Kent. The Awards have been set up to give special recognition to outstanding staff. The awards are also about sharing good practice. Examples might be one off innovations, a piece of research or an on-going exceptional service. We have welcomed nominations for people who have made a significant contribution to equalities.

The nomination period for this year's awards has now closed.

This year, we will be awarding prizes for the following categories:

  • Adult care services (includes all services to adults)
  • Administration/Support work (includes all support services such as clerical support, contracting staff, finance, personnel and development, policy staff)
  • Innovation/Partnership (includes innovation or service development of the year, and people from partner agencies who have made an exceptional contribution to partnership working and the community)
  • Team of the year
  • Environmental Awareness (includes staff/teams who through their behaviour in the office have shown their commitment to the environment, i.e.good recyclers, those who try to influence others, people who take rubbish home, those who always go around after everyone has gone and turn off the lights)
  • There will also be a special recognition of work undertaken within Mental Health Services, the Nigel Gregory Award.

The "category" winners will receive £250 and the overall area winners will receive a further £500. The prize money is to be reinvested in the service. It could be spent on, for example, a new printer, furniture, team building or training. In fact it can be spent on anything which will improve the service or working environment. However it cannot be used for individual financial gain.
