The General Social Care Council (GSCC) has an informative website,
particularly on the subject of careers in Social Work. Their
learning and training section details all the universities that run
degree courses in social work.
They also produce the Codes of Practice for Social Care Workers and

The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) has lots of useful
resources on their website. From the CSCI home page follow the link
captioned "What is Social Care". There is much useful information
