Area Profiles

Area profiles pull together a range of data on varying topics.

There are two types of profiles:

  1. Population profiles - these provide information about the characteristics of the population in a given area. The information contained in these profiles is taken from the 2001 Census. Population profiles have been produced for all parishes, electoral wards and county electoral divisions in Kent.
  2. District profiles - these provide information about local authority areas within Kent. Whilst information relating to the population of an area is provided, the district profiles also provide information on crime, deprivation, employment, business, the economy and development (housing and industrial). The data within these profiles has been taken from the most up-to-date sources. These profiles are not available for areas smaller than local authority districts. District profiles
  3. Economic profiles - these look at the economic performance of each of the twelve local authority districts in Kent. They include a comparison between 2001 and 2007 indicators and identify the local authority district in England and Wales with the most similar economic performance. These profiles are not available for areas smaller than local authority districts. Economic profiles
