Like all sections of society, Gypsies and Travellers are
sometimes the victims of criminal activity. It is no more
acceptable for Gypsies and Travellers to be victims of crime than
it is for other members of society. It is therefore vital that you
report all criminal activity against you, using the methods set out
below. To enable the Police to investigate criminal activity and to
pursue a prosecution, written evidence from witnesses will be
needed and it may be necessary for you to appear as a witness in
court.
If it is an emergency phone 999. Otherwise, use the main Kent
Police switchboard on (01622) 690690
Alternatively, ring your local police on the following
numbers:The Report and Information Line also enables the general
public and Gypsies/Travellers to obtain other information relating
to Gypsy/Traveller issues, based on the information found on this
website.
