Handy Health Guide
This document provides advice on basic healthcare services in Kent and Medway.

Housing

If you would like advice on any housing matter, you should contact your local housing authority using the contact details below. If you are worried about becoming homeless, you should seek their advice as soon as possible.

Housing authority staff can help you to complete any forms.

If you make yourself intentionally homeless (ie. if you lost your accommodation through a deliberate act which you knew may lead to you being homeless), you will not be eligible for accommodation. However, the housing authority will still provide advice.

Planning

If you would like advice on any planning matter, you should contact your local planning authority using the contact details below. Ask to speak to "Planning".

If you are considering setting up your own site, seek advice from the local planning authority before you purchase any land. The Authority will be able to advise in general terms whether specified locations are likely to be acceptable and what restrictions there might be.

Do not simply buy the land and pull onto it. This will be treated as an Unauthorised Development and you are likely to have action taken against you by the local planning authority. You will be treated just like anyone else who develops land without planning consent.
