Canterbury

Wellington House is located just outside the City walls, close to both the town centre and Canterbury West station. It is a 19th century building, which we believe, was built by the area's tax and customs inspector, a retired Army officer who named it after his hero the Duke of Wellington.

The entrance to the ceremony suite is from the rear of the building, via the garden. The river Stour borders the garden, offering an ideal setting for photographs.

The Drawing Room is decorated in a subtle, elegant but contemporary design, which compliments the building making this a beautiful setting for ceremonies. The Drawing Room is furnished with sofas and benches offering informal seating for 25, with standing room for a further 10 guests.
