Births, deaths, marriages and partnerships

It licenses venues where civil marriages and civil partnerships may be conducted and registered and provides citizenship, baby welcoming and renewal of vows ceremonies. In addition, it is the custodian of all birth, death and marriage registers dating from 1 July 1837 (there are separate arrangements for Medway).
